FREERIDE CAMPS

Our five day off-piste camps are for intermediate and advanced riders who are looking to explore, hike and ride some of the most challenging and playful terrain in the 4 valleys.

Powder camps will require a good level of fitness as we ride from first to last lifts, each camp will have a maximum of 6 people per group and a minimum of 4 people.The price of each camp, which includes five full days of instruction and training and is 900chf. We can source all safety equipment at an additional cost, if required.

FREERIDE CAMPS 

Search for new and exciting lines. This camp is for advanced riders who want the whole backcountry mix. From couloirs and cliff drops, to lines in the trees and powder bowls. The camp will hunt out the best conditions and terrain the mountain has to offer.

INTRO TO SPLITBOARDING

Here we will focus on your overall ability use your splitboarding equipment. We will develop your skinning technique and   build your capacity to be comfortable riding your splitboard in different snow types and terrain. You will learn to use all safety equipment comfortably and gain confidence when venturing off-piste.

VERBIER FREESTYLE CAMPS

Created due to demand, Vivid Snowboarding is proud to present its new winter freestyle camps. These five day freestyle extravaganzas will have you tuned in and visibly progressing. At the end of the camp you will take home a personalised video edit of your riding. The camp will offer a real mix of riding, from flatland tricks and jibing the whole mountain, to rail and box work and park kickers.

The Verbier park has a great mix of progressive features for every level of rider. The new six-man chairlift means super quick lift times which maximises park laps.

INTERNATIONAL SNOW TRAINING ACADEMY COURSE

ISTA – Come and get qualified this winter and gain experience and education in the backcountry. Our day discovery course will teach you about basic risk prevention when off-piste. You will be given the tools to stay safe in the backcountry.

The course is structured and designed around a typical day in the mountains. From meet and greet to the day’s end. The whole day is a combination of theory and enjoyable practical workshops.

These will take the form of learning the ISTA method, Risk assessment, identification and travel on safe terrain and learning how to manage a crisis situation/search for avalanche burial victims. In signing up for the qualification you receive a training kit which consists of the following material:

Training course book

Protective waterproof casing for when out in the mountains.

An avalanche emergency procedure.

ISTA Discovery badge and certificate on successful completion of the course.

The cost of the ISTA course is 240 CHF plus the day rate of 620 CHF, please get in contact for more details. There is an option to stretch the course out over two days which would mean more riding time.

FREERIDE WEEKEND

Our new Freeride Weekend is designed for you to get the most out of your time on the hill, these run from first lift to last lift.

Small group sizes will ensure that private session feel. Personal rider development is our priority. Whether this is an early season weekend refresher or a mid-winter fixer, this will inject new style and rhythm into your riding.

Sessions will vary depending on the conditions of the day. We will always match the style of riding to what the mountain offers.

The clinics will be scheduled for most weekends throughout the winter and can also run during the week on request with the correct demand.
