POWDER CAMP JAPAN
MELO LODGE, HAKUBA
Join us in January 2021 and experience a snowboarding trip of a lifetime. We have partnered with Melo lodge in Hakuba to create the ultimate powder camp. These 7 days riding will be some of the most rememberable turns and slashes you’ve ever made on your board.
Hakuba in the Nagano region of Japan receives annual snowfall of around 11 – 13 metres. Weather systems traveling from Siberia load up over the South China sea and dump their goods all over the mountains of Japan. Inhabitants require diggers rather than shovels to enable them to go about their daily life. The huge volumes of snow mixed with some of most rider friendly mountains in the world have made this our number one choice to hold our Japanese Powder Camps.
Our Vivid Snowboarding coaches will be guiding and coaching you throughout your 7 days in Hakuba.
The Hakuba valley is made up of 10 different mountains which are all covered by one lift pass. The areas are interlinked via a bus network and all offer a slightly different riding experience. From Snowboarding through perfectly spaced out trees to night riding and making powder turns under floodlights. Not only is Hakuba famed for its powder riding but it also has some of the best snowparks in Japan. Area 47 is awesome and the local park shapers take huge amounts of pride in creating features for all levels of rider. These parks are progressive and offer something for everyone. Tsugaike has been turning it up recently and has a really fun slopestyle park as well.
