Vivid Snowboarding Instructor Training
Come join one of our snowboard instructor training courses. We run our courses in some of the very best resorts in the world. We deliver the majority of our programs in the Valais region of Switzerland.
Our main winter course runs in our home resort of Verbier, Switzerland. The Autumn course takes place in Saas Fee, Switzerland. Check out our Swiss courses here SWITZERLAND
You will have training by current members of the BASI Snowboard training team as well as BASI Level 4 instructors. The quality of the coaching is second to none in the industry. All coaches are exceptional in making the course an experience to remember.
The goal when delivering our instructor training course is to make individuals who are super confident in their ability to teach and coach all over the mountain while ripping on their boards in all types of terrain. For those who fit the criteria we have potential instructing work in Verbier with Vivid Snowboarding.

Our Winter 2021 - 2022 course in Verbier, Switzerland was a huge success. We had a great pass rate on both the BASI level one and level two exams. Two of the students gained employment from mid February until the end of the winter season.
The next course will be starting in Saas Fee, Switzerland on the 26th September. The course will run for nine weeks and will finish on the 25th November in time for the start of the Northern hemisphere winter.

Summer Session 2021
Summer session 2021
Summer session 2021 managed to go ahead in early August. Travel restrictions meant a fair few people were unable to attend due to impossible quarantine times etc
The early summer period had seen a few closed days due to adverse weather conditions. However, the week we had was fine. Both the park and slopes were in great conditions for the duration of the session. Warm summer temperatures had conditions just perfect in the snow park by about 10am each morning.

The progression from everyone involved was immense. 50/50 tricks turned into frontside board slides and switch ups. 180's got turned up to 360's. The mountain would close between 1pm and 2pm each day when we would head for some late lunch and light refreshment at mid station.
By late afternoon everyone was ready for a snooze and recharge before a tasty pizza in Cervinia in the Evening. Cervinia has some of the finest Pizza restaurants around so there was plenty of choice establishments to get a fine slice from.

Vivid Snowboarding Summer Session
Vivid Snowboarding will be hosting its annual summer session in Cervinia, Italy in August 2021. The resort of Cervinia is high up in the Aosta valley in the Italian Alps allowing for summer riding to take place on the Zermatt / Cervinia glacier. Plenty of terrain for all styles of riding and the snow park is the best in Europe at this time of year.
We usually get onto the lifts for the mountain around 8am and ride through until around 2pm when the mountain closes. Conditions usually soften as the day progresses. Park laps become super progressive for ones riding. The short lift and rapid lap means maximum time riding your board in the park.
Once off the mountain you can enjoy some down time in the afternoon or there are plenty of summer activities and sports to get involved with. Check out a few of the summer activities here:

The hotel we stay in is the Petit Palais. The hotel is two minutes from the main lift and a short walk into town for bars and restaurants. Every night we venture into town for a bite to eat before heading to bed and getting rested for more riding.

- Verbier is part of the 4 valleys. This is the 5th biggest snowboard area in the world. Verbier has over 412Km of marked slopes.The Mont Fort is the highest peak which sits at 3330m above sea level. - The 4 valleys has a few different terrain parks. The Verbier Snowpark is situated in La Chaux . The park is progressive and has a great selection of features for all levels of rider. Thyon also has a Snowpark with great number of kickers and rails. The park usually has a big kicker in spring.

The Verbier Freeride camps are super popular as they are a five day Freeride feast. During the snowboard camp you will ride some of the very best off-piste terrain in the world. The height and design of the mountain in and around Verbier means you will always get some fresh tracks. Both Mont Fort and Mont Gele are above 3000m. The height of much of the terrain added to the north facing aspects of much of the good freeride zones makes Verbier a snow sure resort. Amazing terrain
Our next bunch of camps this year will be the Cervinia Summer camps which will commence at the end of July 2020. These are a great way of getting back on the board before the on set of the Autumn. The Cervinia - Zermatt glacier is set out in a way that allows all riders to get plenty of piste and park laps in. The glacier is the highest ridable mountain in Europe so it has guaranteed snow all year round. The piste bashers do an amazing job each afternoon and through the night to prepare amazing slopes and crafted park.

PERFORMANCE CLINICS - Vivid Snowboarding
PERFORMANCE CLINICS - Vivid Snowboarding clinics are designed for you to get the most out of your time on the hill, these run from first lift to last lift with your instructor. Our 2day format will get stoked and looking at your own performance in a different way.
The aim is to link your the mind, body and board so they working together. This link will take you from being a recreational rider to a more accomplished and confident rider. Giving you the skills to charge everything on the mountain.
We will break down and look at everything from stance width and angel to equipment choice and injected the correct inputs on every aspect of your riding where it is needed.
Small group sizes will ensure that private session feel. Personal rider development is our priority. Whether this is an early season weekend refresher or a mid-winter fixer, this will inject new style and rhythm into your riding.
Sessions will vary depending on the conditions of the day. We will always match the style of riding to what the mountain offers. If it’s a blower powder day then freeriding it is and if its sunny and groomed in the snowpark then park laps are on.

FREESTYLE CAMPS
FREESTYLE CAMPS
Come and join us this February and April for specific freestyle camps in Verbier , Switzerland. Our five day freestyle feast will help improve your technical skills which in turn will help raise your overall park riding.
The Verbier snow park is based in the La chaux area of the mountain and is the perfect venue for our camps. The park is accessed by the La Chaux Express chairlift which runs up to a height 0f 2480m. The snowpark has great snow cover from December through until April. The area is south facing and therefore the sun softens the landings while the take offs to features stay hard and fresh.
The Snow park has a specialised team of dedicated park shapers who manage and maintain the park. You can expect a large range of features for all levels. Green and blue features for the riders who are just stepping into the park through to red and black features. The more advanced your riding skills the more comfortable and confident you will be with riding the more advanced features.

Vivid Winter Freeride Camp
The Vivid Snowboarding middle of winter Freeride camp is for the more advanced rider. Everyone should be comfortable and confident in their own ability in the backcountry. This five day off-piste feast will be focused on finding the very best snow and terrain on offer. The vastness of the four valleys with its huge variety of mountains with varying aspects means we can search, explore and ride some of the Europe’s finest backcountry terrain. Even in more hostile conditions when the light is reduced and the visibility is flat there are endless tree riding options. Check out our You tube channel for some footage of the area VIVID FREERIDE
Safety is of paramount importance through out the camp and therefore all safety equipment is obligatory. If you do not have your own safety equipment (transceiver, shovel, probe and airbag) then you can hire this for an additional fee.
The Vivid Snowboarding middle of winter Freeride Camp will be run by the following coaches:
- Rob Norton is one of the highest qualified and most experienced snowboard coaches in Verbier. He holds his top British, French , Swiss and Austrian qualifications. Rob has been a snowboard examiner through the British system for the last 12 years. He has also been coaching and examining up and coming instructors. He has spent over 14 winters in Verbier and knows all the best locations to ride.
- Fred Surma holds his top Swiss qualification and has been coaching, riding and guiding in the mountains around Verbier for the last 20 years. There is nothing Fred doesn't know about the terrain on offer. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge and will take you to the very best spots on the mountain.

Vivid Snowboarding Season Opening
Vivid Snowboarding season opening camp early December in Verbier. Our long weekend kicks off on 2nd December and runs until 4th December 2017. The aim of the camp is to get your technical game on point and give the riding the once over before the winter kicks off in full. We are not including accommodation in the Vivid Snowboarding season opening camp early December in Verbier. We can help arrange hostels, chalets and hotels depending on your budget and taste. The last few winters have seen awesome early season snow. The lifts have been up and running during the weekends in November. We confident for another great start to the winter here in Verbier. The resort always do a fine job in preparing the mountain with artificial snow as well shaping and managing the real stuff. The high altitude nature of the slopes in verbier means its a perfect early season location.

Holiday time is upon us here in Verbier. This has bought with it slightly longer lift lines and busier slopes.
March 1st 2014 on the mountain has been great of late with plenty on new snow and all the lifts in the four valleys being open. Bruson has seen some epic conditions and the new lift has really helped make access to the mountain a lot easier than the old bus across the valley floor then up.

All the team have been busy teaching and coaching on the hill. Vivid Kids product has been really popular with lots of youngsters taking their first enjoyable moments on their board. It has been great to see the response from the recent Olympics in Sochi. The GB snowboard team were great to watch and there were some outstanding performances in slope style from Jamie Nicholls and the Amazing Jenny Jones who scooped a bronze medal in the ladies event. This has had an amazing effect on the general public in the UK as snowboarding fever has hit home. It is an easy sport to pick up in the UK with loads of dry slopes and indoor centers. Snowboarding is for everyone and it is an amazing day out so get involved and get down to your nearest hill.
